Friends,
The Biden Administration has spent the last three years completely surrendering the sovereignty of our country. Millions of people have crossed the southern border illegally. It is a government-sponsored invasion of America.
Biden’s border calamity has turned every state into a border state. It’s led to illegals overrunning communities all across America as tax dollars are used to resettle them. Tragically, it’s even lead to deaths such as 22-year-old Georgia nursing student Laken Riley.
With every level of the federal government doing nothing to stop the border catastrophe, the onus has fallen on state leaders with courage to step up and take charge. Texas became the first state to step up and pass a law allowing state police to arrest illegals and remove them from the country. The Biden Administration sued to stop them— but lost.
State Freedom Caucuses are now taking charge to pass legislation modeled after Texas. In Louisiana, Freedom Caucus member Sen. Valarie Hodges has drafted legislation that would create a crime of illegal trespass, allowing state police to arrest suspected illegal aliens and began the deportation process.
Read more about Valarie’s bill in Fox News.
In Arizona, AZFC member Rep. Alex Kolodin is leading the charge to put Texas-style border legislation on the 2024 ballot in order to get around a certain veto from Democrat Gov. Katie Hobbs. Arizonans should pay attention whether their Republican leaders in the legislature will bring it up for a vote.
Watch him speak about it on the House floor and read more about the bill in Fox News.
South Carolina
It’s been a banner last few weeks in South Carolina with many different conservative victories. The House of Reps. recently passed SCFC member Rep. Josiah Magnuson’s bill to ban Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs at all of the state’s taxpayer-funded colleges and universities.
DEI does nothing but elevate mediocrity while punishing merit on the basis of race and tax dollars should not be funding the overpaid DEI bureaucracies at America’s universities.
Additionally, South Carolina (finally) became the 29th state to adopt constitutional carry. Your 2nd amendment rights are non-negotiable and state Freedom Caucuses will always fight to protect them.
Watch SCFC Chairman Adam Morgan speak about it on the House floor.
Wyoming
Despite the WY Freedom Caucus’s loud opposition, the Wyoming legislature recently adjourned after passing the largest budget in the state’s history. But the WYFC also wanted a special session to override RINO Gov. Mark Gordon’s vetoes on common sense conservative legislation, such as his vetos of property tax cuts, repeal of gun-free zones, and a bill that would allow Wyoming to fight the Biden Administration on land-grab issues.
Naturally, the RINO-infested Cowboy State legislature had no interest in actually delivering on conservative victories for their constituents. Despite Freedom Caucus pressure, a vote on a special session failed to get a majority vote in either the House or Senate.
As we’ve talked about before, Wyoming may have a supermajority Republican legislature but when you look at the voting records of those Republicans, liberals are actually running the show. Once again they’ve screwed over the people who elected them.
Stateline Article
Finally, a great profile of the State Freedom Caucus Network was published this week in Stateline News, even though they are a liberal news outlet that certainly was not on our side. But left-wing media can’t help but marvel at the rise of State Freedom Caucuses and how quickly they’ve been able to attain grassroots support.
The article does a great job of laying out our strategy, our success, and how we’re able to draw attention to important issues.
Keep fighting,
