Friends,
Earlier this week, Louisiana became the 28th state to pass Constitutional Carry!
The state legislature originally passed a Con Carry bill in 2021, but it was vetoed by then Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards. Republicans had the votes to override his veto, but Edwards was able to sustain it by making deals with the RINOs in the legislature.
With conservative Jeff Landry now in the governor’s mansion, the Louisiana Freedom Caucus (LAFC) understood that this was the time to get Constitutional Carry over the finish line was now.
LAFC founding member State Senator Blake Miguez wrote a clean Constitutional Carry bill during this week’s special session. And LAFC founding member Rep. Danny McCormick has been preparing the soil for years by sponsoring it in the State House. It passed overwhelmingly in both chambers, despite vocal opposition from the Democrats. The bill now heads to Gov. Landry’s desk.
And to put a patriotic cherry on top, once he signs it, the law will take effect on the 4th of July.

South Carolina
In the Palmetto State, the SC Freedom Caucus was able to successfully block RINOs from moving a watered down Constitutional Carry bill through the legislature, even when pressured by the National Rifle Association to support it.
The State Senate passed a version of the bill that contained several anti-gun amendments to the point where you couldn’t even consider it a Constitutional Carry bill anymore.
In fact, the amendments specifically increased criminal penalties for citizens carrying without a permit while exempting politicians. “Rights for me, but not for thee”. So hypocritical.

The good news is that after alerting the grassroots, the South Carolina Freedom Caucus was able to convince House leadership to reject the proposed changes to the bill made by the Senate and support only clean Constitutional Carry legislation. The bill now goes to a conference committee where the RINO Senators will be put in a tough spot.
Stay tuned!
Wyoming
In another victory for the 2nd Amendment and school safety, a bill in Wyoming to do away with the ridiculous concept of “gun free zones” passed overwhelmingly in the House.
The bill was sponsored by Wyoming Freedom Caucus Vice Chair Rep. Jeremy Haroldson. Much like South Carolina, the WYFC also had to kill several RINO-proposed amendments to water down the bill.
It now heads to the State Senate where it stands a great chance of passing.
