Standing Up For Female Athletes
Illinois Freedom Caucus rallies for young girl kicked off swim team
The Illinois Freedom Caucus may not have much power in such a blue state but that doesn’t stop them from fighting back against the LGBT insanity and standing up for the sanctity of women’s sports.
Two weeks ago, 16-year-old Abbigail Wheeler was kicked off of her swim team and banned from a YMCA in Springfield, Illinois. Why? Because she raised concern about being forced to change in the women’s locker room with biological men.
According to Wheeler, she went to her swim coach, expressing her concern and discomfort after seeing multiple men changing in the women’s locker room, to which he responded “There’s nothing I can do about it.”
When their feelings were discarded, Wheeler and her teammate responded by hanging signs outside the locker room that said “biological women only” and “women deserve to be safe.” They were then accused of “hate speech,” kicked off the team, and banned from the YMCA unless they apologized.

In response, the ILFC organized a rally with the Independent Women’s Forum outside the YMCA in Springfield with Wheeler, her teammates, and other advocates for women’s sports, that was attended by a massive crowd.

“I was uncomfortable with biological men being allowed to undress in the same space as me and my underage teammates. Not only were my feelings discredited but I was removed from my swim team,” Wheeler said through tears at the rally.
“What kind of world will we leave for our daughters if we keep silent,” ILFC Chairman Rep. Chris Miller also said.
ILFC members Rep. David Freiss, Rep. Brad Halbrook, and Rep. Adam Neimberg all spoke at the event as well.

Fighting against the American Library Association
Last Tuesday, Montana became the first state to break all ties with the American Library Association (ALA) due to their policy of pushing for sexually explicit books in schools and electing a self-described Marxist to be their new president.
The MT Freedom Caucus were the leading voices in calling for their state’s library associate to stop funding the ALA and now more Freedom Caucuses are following suit.
The Mississippi Freedom Caucus have now released a statement calling on their library association to divest from the ALA, determining their state has funded them to the tune of nearly $70,000 in taxpayer dollars since 2015.
“As state legislators, we are particularly charged with ensuring taxpayer-funded institutions take no part in furthering ethically and morally repugnant agendas inconsistent with the values of the State of Mississippi,” the statement read.
Freedom Caucuses will always fight back against Marxist indoctrination in our schools.
Louisiana Veto Session
In the Bayou State’s latest legislative session, Democrat Governor John Bel Edwards vetoed several common sense bills that LA Freedom Caucus members were able to pass both houses of the legislature.
These included Rep. Beryl Amedée’s ban on Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC), Rep. Danny McCormick’s constitutional carry bill, and Rep. Kathy Edmonston’s bill to ban covid vaccine mandates in public schools.
Louisiana, however, will officially be holding a session later in the summer to override these egregious vetoes and LAFC members will lead the charge to ensure the legislature gets them done.
Keep fighting,
