Friends,
2023 was an incredible year for the State Freedom Caucus Network.
We launched Freedom Caucuses in four new states, bringing the total to eleven nationwide, and they succeeded in fighting against the radical left and swampy establishment Republicans to deliver solid victories for conservatives.
State Freedom Caucuses fought for tax cuts and fiscal responsibility. The Arizona Freedom Caucus helped pass the Arizona Families Tax Rebate, returning $750 per household back to taxpayers. This money came out of the AZFC’s pot of tax dollars typically reserved for earmarks. So while other members spent that money on pork projects, the AZFC spent it on tax relief! The South Dakota Freedom Caucus returned the state’s $115 million surplus back to the taxpayers. The Wyoming Freedom Caucus successfully blocked a proposal to provide subsidies to Hollywood for movie production in their state.
State Freedom Caucuses fought for election integrity. The Georgia, Louisiana, and Montana Freedom Caucuses all got laws passed in their states that banned so-called Zuckerbucks. The Georgia and Idaho Freedom Caucuses successfully killed efforts to bring ranked choice voting to their states. The Wyoming Freedom Caucus got a law passed closing the state’s primary elections to stop crossover voting.
State Freedom Caucuses fought for healthcare freedom. The Georgia Freedom Caucus led efforts to pass a bill banning discrimination based on covid vaccine status. The Louisiana Freedom Caucus successfully passed a bill to ensure that no patient is left to die alone in a medical facility. The South Carolina Freedom Caucus helped pass a law repealing the state’s Certificate of Need laws for medical facilities.
State Freedom Caucuses fought against bloated budgets. The Idaho Freedom Caucus saved taxpayers $150 million by leading efforts to force the removal of ineligible Medicaid patients. The Wyoming Freedom Caucus killed an attempt to expand Obamacare in the state.
State Freedom Caucuses fought for the Second Amendment. The Pennsylvania Freedom Caucus blocked efforts to repeal the state’s “Stand Your Ground” law. The Idaho Freedom Caucus championed a law that banned credit card companies from surveilling gun owners.
State Freedom Caucuses fought for parental rights. The Louisiana Freedom Caucus authored and passed a bill requiring parental notification for teachers to use any pronoun for a child other than the sex recorded on the child’s birth certificate. The Idaho Freedom Caucus passed a bill banning the use of a child’s vaccination status as evidence to investigate if a couple is fit to be parents. The Wyoming Freedom Caucus brought national attention to their RINO Speaker of the House who blocked efforts to pass a parental rights bill.
State Freedom Caucuses fought against wokeness in schools. The Georgia Freedom Caucus helped pass a law that prevents requiring schools to have Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Critical Race Theory (CRT) programs in order to receive accreditation. The Montana Freedom Caucus passed a law affirming that teachers and students are not required to use the personal pronouns of anybody. The South Carolina Freedom Caucus won a lawsuit it filed against a school district that was caught circumventing the state’s ban on CRT.
Freedom Caucuses fought against transgender madness. The Montana, Mississippi, Georgia, Idaho, and Louisiana Freedom Caucuses all led efforts to pass laws that banned sex change operations on minors. The South Carolina Freedom Caucus also successfully shut down a transgender clinic at a hospital that was performing sex changes on minors while the legislature was out of session.
State Freedom Caucuses fought for unborn life. The Wyoming Freedom Caucus championed a law that passed without the governor’s signature declaring that human life begins from the moment of conception and declares that abortion is not “health care” within the state. The Idaho Freedom Caucus helped pass a law criminalizing the provision of abortion pills to minors and assisting in taking them across state lines for an abortion. The Illinois Freedom Caucus led an effort to stop an abortion clinic from opening up in the town of Danville, IL.
Our Freedom Caucus in South Carolina upset the establishment so much that all of our members were kicked out of the Republican caucus. The same thing happened in Georgia with our Vice Chair State Senator Colton Moore, who got booted for his calls to defund the office of Fulton County DA Fani Willis.
Even in the extremely blue state of Illinois, our seven Freedom Caucus members ended their legislature’s “consent calendar,” which Democrats used to ram hundreds of bills through the House with little consideration and debate.
On all the issues conservatives hold dear to their hearts, our State Freedom Caucuses delivered and we couldn’t have done it without the support from patriots all over the country such as yourself.
But we are not even close to achieving our ultimate goal: A Freedom Caucus in all 50 states.
We need your help to make it happen.
Please donate to the State Freedom Caucus Network so we can continue our mission of expanding the “farm team” for the House Freedom Caucus in DC, take on the establishment in both parties, and continue to deliver victories for conservatives.
The State Freedom Caucus Network will be bigger and stronger in 2024. There is no doubt about that. But the question is how much bigger and stronger? And that is up to you. With your help, State Freedom Caucuses will really put the Swamp on notice.
Keep fighting,
Andy Roth
President
